You will find the Pisa Cathedral close to the Leaning Tower of Pisa at Piazza dei Miracoli. The cathedral first opened in 1092 and the inside has a mix of Renaissance and medieval art and architecture.
How long should I spend in Pisa?

Around Pisa, there are many lesser known cities and towns that are worth venturing into. Nearby cities that you may not know are close to Pisa are Lucca and Florence.
Lucca
Visit the nearby ancient city that is about a 25 minute drive away from Pisa. Due to how close the cities are, Lucca isn’t as busy, so you’ll be able to freely explore without dealing with the large crowds.
Florence
Over an hour’s drive away from Pisa is Tuscany’s capital city, Florence. Florence is the home to Michelangelo’s David statue which is at the Accademia Gallery. Florence also has the Florence Dome which you can even climb to get some fantastic views overlooking the city from above.
